A bilingual literacy and vocabulary learning tool that helps children understand, hear and explore words.
Speaktionary is a bilingual literacy and vocabulary learning tool for children ages 5–12. A voice-first English–French interactive dictionary, it helps children independently understand the words they encounter in reading, writing and the school curriculum.
Children can say or type a word, see a child-friendly picture and definition, and hear the word and example sentences read aloud. They can explore meanings in English and French, including multiple meanings, homophones, antonyms, related words and curriculum vocabulary.
By combining voice, pictures, written language and audio, Speaktionary supports different ways of learning. It can be used by families, classroom teachers and professionals working in inclusive education, Student Support Services, Learning Support Services and special education.

Ollie the Owl guides children as they build vocabulary, strengthen bilingual skills and become more confident, independent learners.
Say it. See it. Hear it. Learn it.
